I want to share a scripture with you to help encourage and strengthen you today.
2nd Corinthians 5:17 KJV, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things passed away: behold, all things are become new.
I want to bring you on a quick journey thru the stages of a caterpillar to a butterfly. I know we all learned this in grade school, but its so fasinating when you relate it to our lives.
A caterpillar crawls raveously eating every leaf it sees while grows stronger and larger til the end of its journey. While in the cocoon, the caterpillar grows 2 wings, 2 antennas, a tongue and body of a butterfly. When the breaks out of the cocoon, it isn't able to fly, the body is soft and weak and no defense. That leaves the butterfly an easy prey. This new butterfly will continue to flap its wings as fast as it can for about an hour and in that short period of time it will get enough strength for lift off. The life of a caterpillar will continue to cycle and start all over again.
Can anyone relate to this in their own lives? Have you ever felt you were easy prey? A caterpillar goes thru this whole growing process by itself. You know you there is a girl at school that is is gossiping about you, one of your classess is really hard, your boyfriend mad you won't lie to your parents.. and guess what... this is all going on at the same time. You sit there and ask yourself why is this happening to me? You cry out, I just want to be a caterpillar again. You want to crawl around and eat, have no worries, no struggles and relax. Once a caterpillar goes into a cocoon, the growing stages have begun and you will never be a caterpillar again.
Know that this to shall pass! The life lesson you have right now is making you a stronger woman of God. There is a reason we don't fit in the first grade chairs anymore! You are a strong woman and you need these growing pains to be even better!
Keep on keepin on... flippin your life inside out!
